The Gambia Research Ethics and Methodology Training Initiative (GamREMTI) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026–2027 Postgraduate Certificate and Master’s Programs in Research Ethics and Methodology.
Funded by the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States, these programmes are designed to develop the next generation of leaders in research ethics and methodology.
The Postgraduate Certificate Program provides foundational training for professionals seeking to enhance their understanding of research ethics and methodology, while the Master’s Program offers advanced training for those aspiring to leadership roles in research ethics education, ethical review, policy development, and research governance.
Applications for both programmes are now open, and the application deadline is 31st July 2026.
Important Notice Regarding the Master’s Program
Candidates admitted into the MSc program will be required to self-finance or find alternative funding sources.
Prospective Master’s applicants are strongly encouraged to explore funding opportunities through their institutions and the following funding institutions in The Gambia:
- Students Revolving Loan Scheme (SRLS)
• Tertiary and Higher Education Trust Fund (THET)
• National Research and Innovation Fund (NRIF)
